The Squirrelly Stringband is now retired.
From 2003-2023, the Squirrelly Stringband served the Bay Area with old time hard-driving mountain dance music, including 10 years as the house band at the North Oakland Square Dance.
The Squirrelly Stringband performed at events such as The San Francisco Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival and The Berkeley Old Time Music Convention, as well as festivals in Portland and Los Angeles.
The Squirrelly Stringband was David Murray playing fiddle, Debbie Berne on banjo, Allegra Yellin on guitar and Rachel Kraai thumping the washtub bass.
